St Catherine’s Orthodox Church was planted in Catherine Field with a simple hope: to offer a sanctuary of ancient peace in the midst of our rapidly growing suburbs.

We began as a small gathering of believers seeking to connect with the early roots of Christianity in a way that felt native to our lives in Australia. We recognized that while our traditions are ancient, the need for community, healing, and truth is timeless.

Rather than being a social club for a specific culture, we strive to be a hospital for the soul open to everyone. Whether you are from a Coptic background, a different Christian tradition, or have no religious experience at all, our doors are open. We do not claim to have “finished” the journey; instead, we invite you to walk alongside us as we seek to live out the Orthodox faith in English, with clarity, warmth, and love.
